Most construction fatalities don’t happen in the morning, as has been assumed, according to a new workplace safety studied commissioned by AGC of America.
Past AGC of Texas President Jamer D. “Doug” Pitcock, Jr. has been awarded the American Concrete Pavement Association’s Hartmann-Hirschmann-Egan honor for his leadership in the transportation-construction industry.
AGC Members delivered a simple message to Texas lawmakers during the chapter’s third Legislative Fly-In: “Keep The Promise.” Highway construction contractors and friends put their day jobs on hold for a trip to the Texas Capitol on March 1 to speak with state legislators and staff about highway funding issues.
The Texas Legislature will be in general session for 140 days. A lot can happen in that time frame, and AGC members must be vigilant. The Texas Legislature will pass laws that affect: 1) transportation funding, 2) TxDOT, and 3) the general business environment.
