Underfunding highways is not a static problem. The longer it is disregarded, the worse the problem becomes. Without adequate resources, the Texas Department of Transportation will continue to face challenges in constructing and maintaining Texas' highway infrastructure and these challenges will worsen moment by moment.
The U.S. transportation construction infrastructure market is expected to show modest growth in 2013, increasing 3% from $126.5 billion to $130.3 billion. That’s the key finding in ARTBA’s annual economic forecast which we released on November 30.
